The FD-208E Stand-Alone Alarm Processing Unit (APU) is an optical fiber-based, remote sensing intrusion detection system, housed in a NEMA 4X enclosure, designed to be immune to EMI, RFI, and lightning. The system has also been designed to allow maximum flexibility during installation to provide maximum protection while discriminating against nuisance alarms. Applications include perimeter fencing, walls, buried, and SecurLAN.
